Captain Alexander Frew, 42, Australian Alexander grew up in a sailing family, was racing by the age of five and began sailing professionally on charter boats in 2003 in the Coral Sea, the South Pacific and the Tasman Sea. Since then he has worked on private, charter and racing yachts up to 128 feet and made several Atlantic crossings. Alex applies strong executive skills from his Wall Street career in international finance markets to ensuring that Amneris is run efficiently with the comfort and enjoyment of guests uppermost at all times. Past yacht owners/employers credit Alex with the highest level of professionalism, having a courteous nature and accommodating any last minute request. With the experience of two years as captain for a private yacht owner with a young family, Alex enjoys welcoming children of any age aboard. He finds the beautiful 10 foot Trinka sailing dinghy (built in Mystic, Connecticut) perfect for teaching children to sail. Fishing and snorkeling gear, a 50 hp engine on the 15 foot dinghy to tow the doughnut and water skiers, plus lots of children’s videos and games give Alex and his crew many ways to entertain youngsters so parents can truly relax. In addition to the crew's watchful supervision, Amneris has full child safety netting on the lifelines for an extra measure of safety. Captain Frew holds the following licenses and professional training certificates:
