S/Y Mira - New Chef - East Med.

Chef Neslihan Ulutas

Neslihan Ulutas graduated from University in Turkey with a degree in Tourist Management.  Her first position after graduating was in a boutique hotel on the beautiful Lycain Coast of Turkey.  She found her sea legs in 2004 and since then has been on the fast track to gaining experience and qualifications.  Neslihan holds a RYA Day Skipper Certificate and STCW 95 certificate and having lived in England, speaks fluent English.

Neslihan began her career in yachting as a stewardess which she enjoyed very much.  It was not long, however, before she realized that cooking was her true passion.

During the winter of 2007 she completed SITCA, a Basic Thai Cuisine Cooking Course in Kho Samui, Thailand.  Neslihan’s cooking style is a delightful mix of Mediterranean & Asian cuisines.  However, she does have a sweet tooth and thoroughly enjoys baking home-made cakes, pastries and other sweets!

Neslihan is delighted with her multi-faceted position on board MIRA.  Guests will find that she truly enjoys her work and is focused on giving all it takes to provide charterers with the very best holiday experience on board S/Y MIRA.

Designed by Peter Norlin and Jens Ostmann and built by Sweden Yachts in 1995, this beautiful 70' sloop has been meticulously maintained.  MIRA has accommodations for six guests in three en suite cabins.  The king master offers a sofa and vanity, plus private access to the cockpit.  The starboard  double as well as the port cabin with upper/lower singles are both forward.   Experienced and multi-talented Captain Argan Bailey has been at the helm of MIRA for a year now prior to which he worked as chef on board for 2+ years.

Argan has just arrived in Croatia with MIRA having delivered her from her winter berth in Gocek, Turkey.  He reports that the weather is beautiful with plenty of sunshine and daytime temperatures 25 Celsius / 78 Fahrenheit.  MIRA is available for charters in Croatia May through September.

MIRA's Summer 2008 rates:  € 16,000/2    €17,000/4    €18,000/6 – plus all expenses; Croatia.

Charter Tip:  Spring is a wonderful time to charter in the East Med -- great weather, the anchorages are not crowded and the merchants in shops and restaurants offer exceptional service!
